Ortigia is a small island on the eastern coast of Sicily, connected by a bridge to the city of Syracuse of which it is the oldest part. It is easily accessible both by car and by public transport:


Airport: Catania airport is 60 km away, with many national and international connections. Syracuse can be reached by train directly from the new airport station, furthermore Interbus runs a regular service to Syracuse departing every two hours.

Private taxi or car: a trusted driver will pick you up from the airport with a sign with the name of the hotel. The price is €60, which is half the cost of the airport service. This service needs to be booked at least one day before your arrival and you will pay the driver directly.

Train: find connections to the main Italian cities and to Catania Fontanarossa Airport on

Bus: there are daily buses from Catania and Palermo run by Interbus and Ast.

Car: Ortigia is a Limited Traffic Zone at specific times, but access to hotel guests is always allowed.

Driving directions from the airport: from Palermo join highway A19 and follow the directions for highway CT-SR. From Messina join highway A18 and keep following directions for highway CT-SR. Once you are on highway CT-SR take the exit for Syracuse Sud and follow the signs for Ortigia.

Parking: We offer our customers a Valet Parking service from 8 am to 10 pm for €30.00 per day.
